ADMISSIONS AT WINDMILL SCHOOL

Admissions

For admission, priority consideration is given to:

For those who do not qualify for priority consideration, we primarily consider date of application as received by Windmill School; additional consideration may be given to likelihood of completing preschool at Windmill and gender (to balance a given class). Admissions decisions are made at the discretion of the Director of the School.

Application Deadlines

Applications for children who do NOT meet any of the above priority criteria are accepted any time. Please note that the date of application as received by Windmill is considered for admission.

Applications for children who meet any of the above priority criteria must be received by October 31st of the year preceding desired enrollment. If such application is received after October 31st, it will be wait-listed in the general list in the order it was received.

Please note that if a child is removed from the waiting list, and wishes to be reinstated, the child will be added as of the date reapplication is made.

Enrollment Procedures and Deposit

Enrollment for Fall programs begins in February. Priority applicants are notified of enrollment status in February in the year of desired enrollment. All other applicants are notified of enrollment status in March or April in the year of desired enrollment.

Within seven days of written or verbal offer of enrollment, a non-refundable deposit, applicable towards tuition, is required for Fall programs. Deposits for all programs are equal to one-third of the full tuition amount for that program. Information about remaining payments appears below under “Tuition Policy.”

Windmill School admits students of any race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school and does not discriminate on the basis of these factors in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or other school-administered programs.

Applicants who are not offered enrollment in a desired program may be kept on the waiting list, and parents will be contacted if a space becomes available.
