For admission, priority consideration is given to:
Currently enrolled children
Siblings of currently enrolled children
Siblings of children who completed preschool at Windmill
Children of past or present board members, and staff
Children of Windmill alumni
Applicants by date of application *
* For those who do not qualify for priority consideration, we primarily consider the date of application as received by Windmill School; additional consideration may be given to the likelihood of completing preschool at Windmill and creating class balance.
Admissions decisions are made at the discretion of the Director of the School.
Applications for children who do NOT meet any of the above priority criteria are accepted at any time. Please note that the date of application as received by Windmill is considered for admission.
Please note that if a child is removed from the waiting list, and wishes to be reinstated, the child will be added as of the date reapplication is made.
Enrollment for Fall programs begins in February. Priority applicants are notified of enrollment status in February in the year of desired enrollment. All other applicants are notified of enrollment status after priority applicant processing is complete.
1/3 of the tuition is required within seven days of a written offer of enrollment for fall programs. The first 1/3 tuition installment is non-refundable. Information about remaining payments will be presented in the offer of enrollment, Admission Agreement, and under “Tuition Policy” of the parent handbook.
Windmill School admits students of any race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school and does not discriminate on the basis of these factors in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or other school-administered programs.
Applicants who are not offered enrollment in their desired program may be kept on the waiting list, and parents will be contacted if a space becomes available.
